| How BobSkinSOAPTM Is MadeBobSkinSoapTM is all made by hand and from scratch (NOTHING pre-made is used). I personally make each 50-60 bar batch of BobSkinSoap,TM assuring the quality of material and finished product. I track the ingredient cost of the batch and each bar using Excel (I have developed quite a program for my soap), and separately figure the time and miscellaneous items needed to produce this soap. This is a picture of the "new mold" (around 1/2 pound) BobSkinSoap bars aging on one of the tables I use. The older "hand formed" bars are in the upper left corner of this page (by the Indian pipe). It's amazing that each batch takes about 20 hours total time from start to finish product. This does not include the packaging, making shipping labels online at the Post Office website and then taking to a Post Office for shipping. I do small batches because the mixing is much better and easier, and my soap pan can only hold enough for about 50-55 BobSkinSoap bars. I would not be able to handle any bigger pan anyway! I age my soaps at least four weeks and I test them to evaluate their readiness for use. I do the old "touch a bar on your tongue test," which my bars pass within a couple of days, and then after three-four weeks by using a bar myself and asking my wife to use one also. She never turns me down! She loves BobSkinSoap! This assures BobSkinSoap bar quality and mildness. If a bar does not feel good to me or my sweetie, (which has not happened yet....even the first batch I made (on 1-14-2001) was great soap..and BobSkinSoapTM has gotten better with each batch) then you will not be able to purchase any bar from that batch. So far all BobSkinSOAPs have been great soaps. Just read some of the Testimonials! |
